Cosmetic (Teeth Whitening)

Teeth whitening involves the use of a peroxide based gel to breakup coloring agents inside the enamel. Not all stains or discolorations can be removed. Realistically, tooth shades will lighten only 2-3 shades from the initial shade. (show shade guide). The final results of teeth whitening are highly variable from patient to patient.

Options:

  •  Home whitening kits. A custom tray is worn with the gel for a few hours or overnight for at least 4 consecutive days.
  •  In-office whitening. High concentration peroxide gel is applied by the dentist or dental hygienist directly onto the teeth. This procedure will take approximately 90 minutes.
