Sports Mouthguards
Sports mouthguards are indicated to prevent teeth damage and decrease the risk of a concussion during involvement in high impact sports. These are plastic trays that are custom made and fitted to the teeth.
Space Maintainers
Space maintainers are appliances that are used to hold the space for a permanent tooth to erupt. These are indicated if there was an early loss of a baby or primary tooth. The early loss of a primary tooth may result in the shifting of the adjacent teeth that may block the eruption of the adult tooth. TMD and Bruxism
Unconscious teeth grinding during sleep is referred to as night-time bruxism. This may lead to the wear of tooth surfaces and the jaw joint. To prevent this from occurring, a plastic mouthguard is custom made and fitted to one of the arches. The mouthguard is worn during sleep.
